How much is shipping?
Shipping is calculated at checkout. We ship worldwide.
What is your return policy?
You may request a cancellation within 72 hours of placing your order. After this period, the order is confirmed, and Vertical Ledge will have already incurred costs in processing your order. Cancellations will not be accepted beyond the 72-hour window.
We charge a 35% restocking fee for each stand in your order when a return has been approved. Due to the custom nature of our stands, we only accept return requests under the following conditions:
- The customer has contacted customer support within 24 hours of the item being delivered.
- The item is inspected immediately upon delivery. We do not accept returns if the item has been sitting unopened for an extended period; it is the customer’s responsibility to check all items within 24 hours of delivery.
- The items show zero signs of being used at a show, event, or otherwise.
- The refund will be processed within 10 business days of the item being shipped back to Vertical Ledge.
- Vertical Ledge charges a 35% restocking fee for any and each SKU returned, regardless of condition.
- All returns must be pre-approved by Vertical Ledge before they are shipped back.
- Customers are responsible for providing their own return labels and packaging; Vertical Ledge does not supply return labels or boxes.
By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Any attempts to reverse a payment or initiate a chargeback with your bank or payment provider without following this policy will be treated as a breach of contract. Vertical Ledge reserves the right to pursue legal action to recover any lost funds, restocking fees, or additional damages resulting from chargebacks or disputes. Furthermore, any legal costs incurred in recovering such funds or enforcing this policy, including attorney fees, will be the responsibility of the customer.
Additionally, Vertical Ledge reserves the right to take legal action or file counterclaims against any lawsuit that contradicts these agreed-upon terms. By placing an order, you acknowledge that Vertical Ledge is entitled to recover all associated legal costs in the event of any legal disputes initiated by the customer
Customs/ Duties International Information
At Vertical Ledge, we proudly ship worldwide, and shipping rates can be found on the checkout page. Please note, however, that Vertical Ledge does not ship packages under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms. This means that all duties, tariffs, and taxes imposed by your country for imported goods are solely the responsibility of the customer.
Approximately 75% of Vertical Ledge products are manufactured in China, with the remainder produced in the USA. Depending on your country’s customs regulations, you may be required to pay import duties, taxes, or tariffs on goods produced in either the USA or China. Vertical Ledge cannot cover or reimburse any of these fees, and customers are fully responsible for ensuring all necessary payments are made in a timely manner.
Should a package be returned to us due to the customer’s refusal to pay these required duties or taxes, the refund will be considered null and void due to customer negligence. It is the customer’s responsibility to be aware of their country’s import regulations, duties, and taxes before placing an order. To assist in this process, customers may look up current duty or tax rates via Google or contact a customs brokerage for more detailed guidance.
For instance, in Canada, imported goods from the USA or China may incur significant duties and taxes depending on their classification and value. These fees must be paid by the customer, and Vertical Ledge is not responsible for any late fees or additional charges due to delayed payment of these taxes or duties.
By placing an order, you agree that Vertical Ledge is not liable for any costs associated with importing goods, including but not limited to duties, taxes, tariffs, or additional fees incurred due to customer actions or delays. Furthermore, any attempt to file legal action or claims against Vertical Ledge in relation to duties, taxes, or the terms outlined in this policy will be considered a breach of contract. Vertical Ledge reserves the right to pursue legal remedies, including recovery of legal fees, for any such actions taken against the company.
Additionally, by completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and waive any rights to pursue legal action or initiate disputes, including chargebacks, related to international shipping costs, duties, or tariffs. Vertical Ledge is not responsible for delays, additional fees, or any consequences resulting from the failure to comply with your country’s customs regulations.
We strongly advise all customers to ensure they are fully informed about potential import costs before placing an international order. This will help avoid any unexpected charges or complications at the time of delivery.
Damaged Goods Claims
Due to the nature of these custom stands, all sales are subject to strict policies regarding cancellations, shipping, and damage claims. Please review these terms carefully before completing your purchase.
Cancellation Policy:
You may request a cancellation within 72 hours of placing your order. After this period, the order is confirmed with the shop, and Vertical Ledge will have already incurred costs in time, resources, and materials. Therefore, no cancellations will be accepted after the 72-hour window. By placing an order, you agree to these terms, and any attempts to reverse a payment or initiate a chargeback with your bank or payment provider after this time will be considered a breach of this agreement. Vertical Ledge reserves the right to pursue legal action to recover any disputed funds, legal fees, and damages resulting from such actions.
Shipping and Damage Claim Policy:
Due to shipping insurance requirements and the custom nature of our products, all damage claims must adhere to the following conditions:
- Filing a Claim: A claim must be filed within 45 days of the shipping label purchase (not the delivery date).
- Notification to Vertical Ledge: You must notify Vertical Ledge of any damage claims within 72 hours of the package being delivered. Failure to do so will void the claim. There are absolutely no exceptions to this policy. Please inspect your package promptly upon delivery—waiting weeks to open your custom package will result in the forfeiture of your right to file a damage claim.
- Photo Documentation: For a claim to be processed, you must provide clear photos of the damaged item, along with internal and external packaging. These photos can be submitted via email or mail. If the external packaging (e.g., the box) is damaged and you open the package without documenting the damage first, your claim will be void.
- Full Unit Photos: You must submit photos of the entire unit, not just the damaged areas, so we can assess the full extent of the damage.
- Verification: Once a claim is made, you must verify the claim with our third-party insurance provider within 3 business days. Failure to do so will result in the customer being charged for any replacement costs.
Legal and Financial Protections:
By purchasing from Vertical Ledge, you agree to the terms outlined in our cancellation and shipping policies. Any attempt to bypass these terms through chargebacks, lawsuits, or other legal actions will be considered a violation of this agreement. Vertical Ledge reserves the right to pursue legal action, including counterclaims, to recover funds, legal fees, and any associated damages. Additionally, failure to comply with shipping insurance claim requirements will void any rights to compensation or replacement units.
We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these policies, which are in place to ensure fair and efficient service for all customers."
This expanded version covers not only your cancellation and damage claim policies but also legal actions and reversed bank charge claims.

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. Any attempts to reverse a payment or initiate a chargeback with your bank or payment provider will be considered a breach of this agreement. Vertical Ledge reserves the right to pursue legal action to recover funds or damages resulting from such actions. Additionally, all costs, including legal fees, associated with the recovery of these funds will be the responsibility of the customer.
Can I cancel my order?
You may request a cancellation within 72 hours of placing your order. After this period, the order will have been confirmed with the shop, and Vertical Ledge will have already incurred costs in terms of time and resources to process your order. As such, cancellations will no longer be accepted after the 72-hour window.
By placing an order, you agree to these terms and acknowledge that Vertical Ledge has the right to refuse any requests for cancellations beyond the stated time frame. Any attempts to take legal action or file a lawsuit regarding the cancellation policy will be considered a violation of this agreement. Vertical Ledge reserves the right to pursue counterclaims, recover legal fees, and seek damages for any legal actions taken in contradiction to these terms.

Do you offer wholesale?

Please do reach out and we’d love to chat! Learn more HERE.
We also offer dropshipping to those partners that are interested in selling 5+ units per month to their clients. Must be reselling at approved rate. Please inquire for more information and pricing.
Product Information
What are the circles in the product?
You’ll find several football, oval, or irregular shaped patches in either side of Baltic birch. Even the highest grade of Baltic birch allows for patches. While at first glance they might seem unsightly, they’re indeed correcting a worse problem that you wouldn’t like any better – such as knots or discoloration. Fortunately, patches are color matched, so they blend as best as they can to the surrounding areas.
Can I paint or stain the shelves?
Staining the stands is perfectly fine- check out YouTube videos on how to stain Baltic-Birch Plywood and you have everything you need to know. We do not advise our customers to stain the stands.
We do not encourage our clients to paint the stands as the tolerances might be ruined deeming the stands too tight a fit to easily be assembled and disassemble. That being said, we have not personally tried painting the stands and if we do- we will upload a video on how to do so effectively.
Outdoor Precautions
For wood Protection and care:
This is ideal for the front and back- be warned that it will make the RAW edges darker or more rich in color
For windy areas:
For areas that you need to secure from wind
Usually required at outdoor markets anyways
Can we secured with string to the bottom of the board through peg holes
Again, peg boards are not recommended for windy areas
Help break the wind with side walls
Not guaranteed to help prevent falling over
Was recommended by other artisans with our stands
For rainy areas:
Plastic heavy duty bummers- best recommended by VL team
Screw in very very gently to not split the wood layers-
Expert in wood option (would not recommend for someone who is not handy in wood crafts)

Accibility Statement
Compliance status
We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of ability.
To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.
This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.
Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.
If you wish to contact the website’s owner please use the following email sydney@verticalledge.com
Screen-reader and keyboard navigation
Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers can read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements:
- Screen-reader optimization:
we run a process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others.
Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images. It provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts embedded within the image using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website.
These adjustments are compatible with popular screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. - Keyboard navigation optimization:
The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.
Additionally, keyboard users will find content-skip menus available at any time by clicking Alt+2, or as the first element of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, not allowing the focus to drift outside.
Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
Disability profiles supported on our website
- Epilepsy Safe Profile: this profile enables people with epilepsy to safely use the website by eliminating the risk of seizures resulting from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
- Vision Impaired Profile: this profile adjusts the website so that it is accessible to the majority of visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
- Cognitive Disability Profile: this profile provides various assistive features to help users with cognitive disabilities such as Autism, Dyslexia, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements more easily.
- ADHD Friendly Profile: this profile significantly reduces distractions and noise to help people with ADHD, and Neurodevelopmental disorders browse, read, and focus on the essential elements more easily.
- Blind Users Profile (Screen-readers): this profile adjusts the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is installed on the blind user’s computer, and this site is compatible with it.
- Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments
- Font adjustments
users can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more. - Color adjustments
users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds with over seven different coloring options. - Animations
epileptic users can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions. - Content highlighting
users can choose to emphasize essential elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only. - Audio muting
users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly. - Cognitive disorders
we utilize a search engine linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others. - Additional functions
we allow users to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.
Assistive technology and browser compatibility
We aim to support as many browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS, and NVDA (screen readers), both for Windows and MAC users.
Notes, comments, and feedback
Despite our very best efforts to allow anybody to adjust the website to their needs, there may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. Still, we are continually improving our accessibility, adding, updating, improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility following technological advancements. If you wish to contact the website’s owner, please use the following email sydney@verticalledge.com
