At Vertical Ledge, we strive to help our customers make the most out of their spaces so that they can be successful. Whether you do weekend pop-ups or have a permanent retail location, we are here to guide you. Each customer interaction we have is unique, that is why we are excited to share our case study with Butter Home.
Claire from Butter Home reached out to us last year with a consultation call for a custom display and it turned into a full-fledged project to build-out her entire space with Vertical Ledge displays.
About Butter Home
Butter Home is a brick + mortar shop selling independently made and handcrafted art, home goods, and gifts. Butter Home supports local artists and artisans by displaying their goods and giving makers a platform to sell their products in the local community.
Butter Home recently moved locations in Seattle because of a lack of space. Having a bigger space made Claire realize she needed to upgrade her displays. She faced the challenge of now having plenty of wall and floor space that she needed to fill but wanted to be consistent in the displays she was using.
The Consultation Call
When Claire initially reached out, it became immediately clear that Vertical Ledge could provide more than just a display for her new space. Through the call, we were able to pinpoint the exact needs Claire had for her new space
- She needed a U-shaped cash wrap for her narrow space
- 12' low shelf/credenza style piece with pegboards above to go against the wall
- Pegboard screen to keep additional inventory hidden
The consultation call gave us a clear direction of Claire’s space requirements as well as display needs for her products.
The Retail Space Build Out
The consultation call led to a full-fledged 25+ page design proposal by Vertical Ledge outlining the custom units to be manufactured as well as existing units to be used in Claire’s space:
- 1.5-2 month timeline for custom units including the custom-checkout unit and customized DCXL to include storage attachments
- A custom horizontal pegboard to be wall-mounted
- Additional existing units to be used including 2x Aframe 2.0s and 3x DCXLs
Through our collaboration with Claire during the design process- we were able to curate display solutions that would fit her space and maximize her product space needs.
Results
Claire was ecstatic with the results of our installation because of how much more professional and elevated her space appeared. She was especially excited about her custom check-out counter as it was exactly what she envisioned.
We are looking forward to seeing how the space works our for Claire post-install once she re-opens her shop.
