3/4 in. x 4 ft. x 8 ft. PureBond Birch Plywood

Are there other types of wood you recommed?

You can use a variety of plywoods or hardwoods for this DIY hardware kit.

We suggest using 3/4" material for anything that is making contact with the floor for best stability practices.

We have enjoyed playing around with a WALNUT (Home Depot Link) which is a darker wood- still vary appealing and beauitful.

How do I remove the hard edges on the fresh cut wood?

Smooth edges are easily attainable without any tools.

You can use sand paper, and simple go over all the edges.

You can also use a automatic sander- video linked here.
